Lakhipuronline Digital Desk, February 4, 2026: In a significant recognition of emerging literary talent in Manipur, the Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur has announced that young poet Thokchom Dollarsen will be the recipient of the prestigious Arambam Ibungohal & Binodkumari Literary Award 2025. The announcement was made via a press release issued by Rakesh Naorem, Secretary of PAWF, Manipur.
Celebrating Young Talent in Manipuri Literature
The Arambam Ibungohal & Binodkumari Literary Award is an annual honor instituted by the Patriotic Writers Forum to encourage writers under the age of 35. It is specifically dedicated to recognizing outstanding contributions in the field of poetry. This year, the spotlight falls on Thokchom Dollarsen for his acclaimed poetry book titled "Utangbigi Lamdamduda."
The award is generously sponsored by PAWF Life Members, Arambam Meme and Dr. Namaram Sharat. As part of the recognition, Dollarsen will receive a cash prize of ₹5,000, a traditional shawl, a citation, and a memento.
A Significant Debut
This achievement is particularly noteworthy as "Utangbigi Lamdamduda" marks Thokchom Dollarsen’s debut publication. Born on February 12, 1999, to Thokchom Bhimsen and Ibetombi of Kongba Nandeibam Leikai, Imphal East, Dollarsen has quickly made a mark in the literary circle.
He is currently an active member of the Sahitya Thoupang Lup (SATHOULUP). His winning book was published in March 2025 by Thokchom Amrita and Chingkham Lamjingba under the banner of SATHOULUP. The fact that his very first published work has garnered such a prestigious accolade speaks volumes about the quality and depth of his writing.
