In a match filled with aggressive attacks and a spirited second-half comeback attempts, RYC Ramgaizang defeated Khasi Youth Club (KYC), Kamaranga with a convincing scoreline of 4-2, booking their place in the grand finale.

A Dominant First Half by Ramgaizang

Organized by the All Jiribam Sports Association (AJSA), the tournament has been a centerpiece of local sports since it kicked off on January 30. Today’s match began with KYC Kamaranga winning the toss and choosing their side, but it was RYC Ramgaizang who took immediate control of the ball and the game.

RYC wasted no time asserting their dominance. In the very first minute, RYC’s striker Jacob found the back of the net, opening the account for his team and sending shockwaves through the Kamaranga defense. The pressure continued relentlessly, with Robin Rongmei doubling the lead in the 12th minute. Jacob struck again in the 31st minute, securing his brace and ensuring RYC Ramgaizang went into the halftime break with a commanding 3-0 lead.

Kamaranga’s Spirited Fightback

Despite being three goals down, the Khasi Youth Club showed immense character in the second half. Refusing to give up, they launched a counter-offensive that briefly threatened to turn the tide of the match. KYC's Kyrshan scored in the 60th minute, followed quickly by a goal from Hamboi in the 69th minute, narrowing the deficit to 3-2.

"For a moment there, the crowd really thought Kamaranga might pull off a miracle comeback. The energy shifted completely after that second goal," remarked a senior spectator watching from the sidelines. "But Ramgaizang showed the maturity needed to close out a big game."

Just as the tension reached its peak, RYC’s Montu sealed the victory with a decisive goal in the 82nd minute, ending the match at 4-2.
