A simple yet heartfelt reception programme was organised in Manipur today to honour two distinguished personalities who have brought pride to the state by receiving th
e prestigious Rabindra Ratna Puraskar 2025. The event reflected warmth, respect, and a shared sense of responsibility towards culture and society.
The reception was jointly organised by Celin Digital and the Bahujana Sahitya Academy (National Committee of India), Manipur State at the Celin Digital Mini Studio. The gathering aimed to warmly welcome and felicitate the awardees in a modest but meaningful manner.
Honouring Excellence in Culture and Service
The two recipients of the Rabindra Ratna Puruskar 2025, awarded by the Veyal Foundation, Bengaluru, were Gotimayum Asharani and Angom Bembem. Gotimayum Asharani was honoured for her outstanding contribution to Manipuri Classical Dance, while Angom Bembem received the award for his dedicated humanitarian service in Meetei/Meitei religion.
The presence of cultural workers, organisers, and well-wishers added significance to the occasion, highlighting the importance of recognising individuals who dedicate their lives to preserving heritage and serving society.
Message of Encouragement and Unity
Speaking at the programme, Dr. Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, Chairman of Celin Digital and President of BSA Manipur State, shared an inspiring message. He stated that during our short time on earth, it is essential for everyone to contribute meaningfully to the motherland through their chosen fields.
He emphasised that when someone achieves success, society must support and encourage them to move further ahead. “Instead of pulling each other down, we should uplift one another,” he remarked, stressing the value of unity and positive encouragement.

Dr. Lanajit Singh further noted that successful individuals also carry a responsibility to guide and support those who are emerging in their respective fields. He expressed deep appreciation and respect for the two awardees and voiced hope that they would continue to contribute many more meaningful works for the betterment of society and the state.
