Singerband FC emerges victorious in the Under 14yrs 5-Aside Knockout Football Tournament organized by Sanajing Club Saikhom Leikai, Sonai

Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : In an exhilarating display of skill and determination, Singerband FC clinched the top spot in the Under 14yrs 5-Aside Knockout Football Tournament held from 12th April to 14th April 2024. The tournament, organized by Sanajing Club Saikhom Leikai in Sonai, witnessed the participation of 16 talented teams vying for the coveted title.

The competing teams included Singerband FC, Dolugram FC, Koiroikandi FC, Sega FC, Echel Club Dhamai (A), BTC (Bontarapur), Amjurghat FC, Jorakhul FC (A), Bamrampur FC, Echel Club B, Sanajing FC, Echa Khomdram Leikai FC, Borokhal FC, Jorakhul FC (B), Saikhomleikai FC, Selu FC, and Naharol Chawkhat Lup team.

In the first semi-final, Singerband FC showcased their prowess by defeating Sega FC with an impressive scoreline of 3-0. The second semi-final witnessed an intense battle between Echel Club Dhamai (Sonai) and Sanajing FC, with Echel Club Dhamai emerging victorious with a score of 2-0.

The grand finale was a thrilling encounter between Singerband FC and Echel Club. In a closely fought match, Singerband FC emerged triumphant with a score of 3-1, securing the championship title. As a reward for their exceptional performance, Singerband FC was awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, while Echel Club received Rs 5,000 as the runners-up.

Sanjay Singha from Singerband FC stood out as the top scorer of the tournament, netting an impressive three goals. He was honored with the prestigious Gold Score Award, accompanied by a cash prize of Rs 500.
