Special Operation Nets Massive Narcotics Haul in Cachar: Five Arrested

In a joint operation, Cachar Police and BSF carried out a successful raid on narcotic transportation in the Salchapra area on 25/12/2023. A Bolero vehicle with Regd No MLO4D8981 was intercepted, revealing five packets concealed in secret chambers containing a staggering 50,000 yaba tablets.

The arrested individuals, identified as Munglian Khup (29), P. Thangkhan Lun, Dpu Khan Lian (42), N. Alex Laljahao (32), and Paulianmuan (44), all hailing from Churachandpur, Manipur, were apprehended in connection with the illegal operation.

The estimated black market value of the seized narcotics is approximately 10 crores. Subrata Sen, Additional Superintendent of Police in Cachar district, confirmed ongoing investigations into the origin and network behind this illicit trade, emphasizing the collaboration between law enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking.
