Renowned Theatre Director Delivers Insightful Lecture on THEATRE and FILM Acting in Joint Event by MFJCA and MSFDS

The Preview Theatre at Manipur State Film Development Society's Palace Gate hosted an enlightening lecture on THEATRE and FILM Acting. Shri Loitongbam Dorendra, a distinguished Theatre Director, captivated the audience with his profound insights.

National Film Awardee and Member of Manipur State Film Development Society, Oken Amakcham, graced the occasion as the chief guest. A C Netrajit, President of Manipur Film Journalists and Critics Association, presided over the event.

The program commenced with a warm welcome speech by Nando Ningomba, General Secretary of Manipur Film Journalists and Critics Association. Aken Sijagurumayum, Treasurer of the association, extended gratitude in the vote of thanks.

Conducted by AIR Imphal announcer Yambem Tombi, the event provided a platform to rejuvenate Manipur's film and theatre landscape, which had faced disruptions due to violence.

Expressing his delight, Chief Guest Oken Amakcham acknowledged the resilience of the community, stating, "Despite the challenges faced by Manipur's film and theatre due to past disturbances, it's heartening to witness the slow but steady revival through initiatives like these."

The collaborative effort between MFJCA and MSFDS aims to foster educational and cultural growth in the region. The program marks a significant step forward in rekindling Manipur's rich tradition of storytelling through theatre and film.
