Ningthemkhun 7 Cobra Clinches TMC LEAGUE Cup 5-A Side Football Tournament Season 1 Title with 3-1 Victory Over Lovely Brothers FC

Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : Ningthemkhun 7 Cobra emerged victorious over Lovely Brothers FC (LBFC) in the TMC LEAGUE Cup 5-A side football tournament SEASON final, held between March 13 and 18, 2023, at Cachar Singerband Maning Leikai. The final match saw Ningthemkhun 7 Cobra defeating LBFC by 3 - 1 to clinch the Season 1 title, along with a cash prize of Rs. 20k and a trophy. LBFC received a cash prize of Rs. 12k and a trophy for securing the runner-up position.

The tournament was organised by Thakon Marup Club, and the first prize of Rs. 20,000 was donated by Achoibam Sorojini in memory of her son Late Achoibam Bungosana Singha, while the second prize of Rs. 12,000 was donated by Elangbam Biren in memory of his younger son Elangbam Bimal Singha, who lost his life due to COVID-19.

The prize ceremony was presided over by Thakon Marup Club President Achoibam Joychandra, and Singerband Football Academy (SFA) President Dr. Changkhramayum Mohan Singh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Lakhipur DSA Asst. Gen. Secy. & Gen Secretary of Singerband Football Academy Thangjam Sharat Kr, AFC C Licence Coach Ashangbam Joy Kr, Lakhipur DSA Football Secy. Ashangbam Nabachandra, Thakon Marup Club Advisor Retired Associate Professor G Narhari Sharma, and Retired Teacher Mutum Norendra as Guests of honor.
Apart from the main tournament, a one-day 5-A side tournament for Under 13 was also conducted, where National Youth Club emerged as the winner, while Singerband Co-Operative secured the runners-up position, and Tampak Mayum FC finished in third place.
