Lakhipuronline Digital Desk :Assam University Silchar held a felicitation program on March 4th to honor the Bronze Medal Winners and Officials of the Sepak Takraw Women Championship 2023 held at Punjab University. The event was conducted by Assam University Silchar in collaboration with the Assam University Sports Board.
Dignitaries and Chief Guests from various institutions graced the event, including Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal, Prof. Durgesh Pant, Director General of Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, and Dr. Dibamani Singh, Registrar of National Sports University, Imphal. Other notable guests included Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Assam University Silchar, Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, Registrar of Assam University Silchar, Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, Controller of Examination, Dr. Suprabir Dutta Choudhury, Director of the Sports Board, Prof. A. Nataraju, and Members of the Assam University Sports Board, Prof. Tineshwari Devi, Dr. Ajita Tiwari, Phyllis H. Panme, Dr. Lalzo, Dr. Biswa Ranjan, and K. Anand Kr Singha.
The felicitation program honored the following players for their outstanding performance in the championship: Chanchan Devi, Devita Singha, Albina Singha, Lovita Bhujel, Dimpi Gogoi, and A. Priya Devi. Additionally, officials such as Sunil Singha (Coach), Ng. Ibomcha Singha (Team Manager), S. Birchandra Singha (Assam Sepak Takraw Referee Board Chairman, Chief Coach of Assam Sepak Takraw), and Padmini Singha (International Sepak Takraw Player, and also Assist for Women's team of this team) were also felicitated.
The event was a celebration of the talent and hard work of the players and officials, and it serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes in the region.
