Lakhipuronline Digital Desk : The Assam University kickboxing team, led by coach Roshan Erom, has left for Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh to participate in the Inter University Kickboxing Tournament to be held from March 14 to 17 at Purvanchal University.
The team comprises five players, all from Roshan Erom's Kanglasha Martial Arts Academy. The players are A Nilakishore Sharma, who will compete in the under 57kg category, Fanjowbam Indrajit in under 63kg, Keisam Premjit in under 75kg, Marcus Lalmuanzuala in under 81kg, and Yumnam Sanjoy in under 91kg.
The Assam University team will participate in Kickboxing's low kick event, and they are determined to bring home the trophy. The team members have been practicing relentlessly under the guidance of Coach Roshan Erom and are confident of their skills.
The tournament is expected to witness some fierce competition from the participating universities. However, the Assam University team is hopeful of performing their best and bringing glory to their institution.
