Cachar DC urges people to submit NRC claims before December 31

Dr S Lakshmanan, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar has urged upon the NRC left outs to submit their claim forms on or before December 31. Those, who have no other supporting documents to submit, should fill up the claim form and write a note to reconsider the already documents submitted. If a left out applicant does not submit his or her claim form then his or her name will definitely not feature in the list,” said Cachar DC while addressing mediapersons at a press-meet held at the conference hall of his office here on Monday evening.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that one lakh three thousand residents of the district of Cachar whose names did not feature in the final draft list of July 30, 2018, are yet to file their claim forms. “Till date, we have received 1.25 lakh claim forms in various NSKs. The remaining names of this district which is close to 2.28 lakh should do so immediately. Moreover, the Supreme Court has also accepted to receive any supporting documents issued after 2015. Regarding the activation of online submission of correction forms, we are looking forward to the NRC state coordinator,” said Dr S Lakshmanan.
