Yoga Research Hospital showcases unique yogas

Silchar, June 23: The International Yoga Day was observed by Angautan Naturecure and Yoga Research Hospital (ANCYRH) in the Rongpur area of the town. The programme was held in the auditorium of the Hospital. Dr. Manmath Nath, cardiologist, who was the chief-guest on the occasion, started the programme by lighting the auspicious lamp. The programme was presided over by Dr. M Shanti Kumar Singha, chief medical officer of ANCYRH.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Nath said, yoga is a wonderful natural method of detoxifying the human body of harmful wastes. By practicing yoga we can normalize our blood pressure, cardiovascular capacity, cholesterol level, blood sugar among others. He also added to say that people must practice yoga to lead a healthy and peaceful life.
Dr. Singha while delivering speech on the importance of practicing yoga said that yoga is a science to develop our sixth sense to enable us to lead a beautiful life. It is essentially an art of understanding the truth and connections between mind and body. By practicing yoga a person can develop his personality and realize his ultimate goal thereby fulfilling the purpose of his existence.
Students of Sripally Yoga Centre personated various forms of yoga along with the staff of the hospital. The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks from M Angautan Singha. Other who spoke on the occasion included K Tezomani Singha, M Surjya Kumar Singha among others.
In a similar programme, the Akhil Bharatiya Jana Kalyan Parishad also observed the Day by organizing a rally. The rally, which started from Hailakandi Road, moved through the main thoroughfares of the town and concluded in front of Gandhi Park. During the rally young students and members presented various forms of yoga. Many people of the town also participated on the occasion to observe International Yoga day.
