Lalpani LP School's building inaugurated by DC

Silchar, June 12: The Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, S Viswanathan, IAS, recently inaugurated the new school building of the 493 Lalpani LP School under Lakhipur sub-division near Jirighat. This school building has been constructed under the SSA scheme at an amount of Rs 9.6 lakh. With the SSA fund 2 class rooms along with a girl’s toilet were constructed. Speaking on the inaugural ceremony, S Viswanathan, chief guest, stressed that “the children of the area will be benefitted with the presence of this school”.
The ceremony was presided over by Karim Uddin Choudhury, president of school managing committee. Distinguished guests present on the occasion included T T D Daulagopu, SDO (civil), Abdul Rahim Sheikh, ADC, P K Gupta, circle officer, among others. Swapan Chanda, head master of the school, said that the school was started with an aim of spreading and providing quality education to all children of the village especially those from the disadvantaged families. Chanda urged upon all the school children to be hard working in their studies and do well in their studies so that they can achieve their goal in life. (Source: SentinelAssam)
