SDO (Civil) conducts surprise visit

SILCHAR, May 27: The SDO (Civil) of Lakhipur sub-division, T T Daulagopu conducted a surprise inspection on Tuesday to check the attendance of staff and the progress being made in various development works in Binakandi development block. After that, he visited 8 anganwadi centers and L P and M E schools of the area along with D D Kalita, CDPO Lakhipur.
During the surprise visit, T T Daulagopu, told the anganwadi workers and helpers that they should discharge their duties sincerely. He asked the anganwadi workers and helpers to wear their respective uniforms which have been allotted to them by the government. He cautioned them, if they do not comply with the rules then stern action would be taken against the anganwadi workers and helpers. He also checked the students’ attendance in the L P and M E schools during the visit.
Daulagopu further checked the conditions of the houses constructed under the Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) scheme for the poor people of the area. He also inspected the progress of the roads being constructed under MGNREGA scheme. Daulagopu spoke with the contractors involved in the projects regarding its progress work. He told the contractors to work diligently and complete the construction works on priority basis.
It is to be noted that a few days back, the Lakhipur Circle Office was inspected by Pramod Kumar Tiwari, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management of Assam, who was once posted as SDO (Civil) in the sub-division way back in 1993, along with Ashok Barman, Deputy Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management of Assam. During the visit, Pradip Kumar Gupta, circle officer of the sub-division, was present in the office. Pramod Kumar Tiwari had inspected the workings of the officials on duty. He also paid a visit to the SDO (Civil) office. After the inspection, Tiwari expressed his satisfaction with the dedication shown by the officials towards discharging their respective duties.
