People asked to take precautions from dengue

SILCHAR, September 6: District Health Department has sounded an alert on dengue and malaria, asking people to take precautions from the dreaded diseases. Precautionery measures like boiling water for consumption, keeping the surrounding clean by dumping garbage in drains, cleaning choked drainage channels regularly, using mosquito nets and not allowing water stagnation around localities were advised by the health department. The probable symptoms of these diseases include fever, nausea, shivering, vomiting among others. The people are asked to consult a medical practitioner if any of such symptoms are found.
