IMPHAL, Nov 10: It is whether in Manipur or outside the State, the spirit of Ningol Chakkouba remains the same. Khonthaang Delhi in association with NE Sports and Arts celebrated the festival on the same note of love and affection which signify the unbreakable bond among brothers and sisters in Delhi on October 8.
Clad in traditional khudei and white vest, the volunteers of Khonthaang Delhi prepared mouth watering delicacies for their beloved sisters in a homely way.
With 50 ningols (sisters) representing different communities of the State taking part, the day was filled with delight, mirth and merriment.
Reflecting the importance of brother-sister relationship in the Manipuri society, Kangabam Roogeet of NE Sports and Arts, in his welcome address extended a warm welcome to the visiting sisters.
Volunteers of Khonthaang Delhi and NE Sports and Arts presented gifts to the sisters with affection, which was equally reciprocated by the sisters by extending regards and blessings to the brothers.
