SILCHAR, Oct 30: An insulted Ashok Lunawat today tendered his resignation from the post of vice-chairman of Lakhipur Municipal Board (LMB). Lunawat reportedly said, he would, from now onwards, work as a Municipality Ward Commissioner. Lunawat represented the Ward No.1 in the 10-member civic body. Expressing dissatisfaction of the role of chairman Kalyan Dey, a close aide of Minister Dinesh Prasad Goala, Lunawat said, Dey had virtually reduced the post of vice-chairman of nonentity.
