JIRIBAM, Sep 10: Students of Jiribam Higher Secondary School staged a sit-in-protest in front of Congress Bhavan, Jiri demanding adequate teachers for the schools today.
Slogans like, ‘we want to study’, ‘we want normal class like before’, ‘we want teachers’ were written on the placards put up by the students. The school is facing shor-tage of teachers since Part-time lecturers have started indefinite cease work strike on September 1. (The Sangai Express)
