SILCHAR, July 31: South Karimganj faced second bout of flood as thousands of bighas of cultivable land were inundated suddenly. Both Longlai and Kushiara, two major rivers of the bordering district, flowing much above the danger level. On Saturday noon, Singla was flowing at 22.90 metre when the danger level was 22.00 metre. Kushiara flowing in Mizoram had made the flood situation worsen in South Karimganj. (SENTINELASSAM) |
