Illegal trade of ganja is affecting youths by luring them into this business due to the flow of easy money that they get by smuggling and supplying the contraband. Operations against such illegal trade in ganja have been taken up by the army frequently which is expected to curb the illegal trafficking of contraband in Barak Valley. It is worth-mentioning that consequent to the deployment of army in this valley, illegal and anti social activities have come down remarkably. (SENTINELASSAM)
