HAFLONG, Aug 24: The Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC), NC Hills District Committee and its fraternal organizations –– ASDC (MS)/DSU/DWS/KSA have together called for a 24-hour NC Hills bandh tomorrow from 5 am demanding to revoke the suspension of NC Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) immediately. They are also demanding release of salaries of the employees immediately and want to expedite the ongoing peace process in NC Hills to restore peace and normalcy with a permanent solution, stated a press release.
According to the press release, the ASDC party has been protesting against the unconstitutional suspension of the NCHAC by the State Government and had lodged its protest to the State and Central Government. (Source - Sentinel Assam)
