Krishnamohan Singha selected for National Youth Award

National Award 2018 | Kh. Krishnamohan Singha has been selected to be conferred with the prestigious National Youth Award 2016-17. The award presentation ceremony will be held at New Delhi on 12th August 2019.
Kh. Krishnamohan Singha is the son of late Kh. Glinda Singha and Mrs. Purnima Devi. He was born in 1994 at Jabalpur Chingdong leikai under Lakhipur Sub-division, Cachar, Assam.


He was also the recipient of the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar Award 2017 for his poetry "Jellaba Unagi Ishei" (Songs of fallen leaves).  He is also the recipient of the ‘Arambam Ibungohal and Binod Kumar Literary Award – 2015’ by The Patriotic Writers’ Forum, Imphal. ‘Kamini Kumar Gold Medal – 2016’ by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Imphal, ‘Lima Award – 2016’ by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Assam, ‘Chingu Moirang Leima Ningshing Kabirdas Mana – 2017’ by Sahitya Seva Samiti Manipur.

Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports conferred the National Awards every year on young individuals and NGOs for excellent work done for nation building/ community service.  And excellent work for youth in different fields of development activities and social services such as health, research and innovation, culture, promotion of human rights, art and literature, tourism, traditional medicine, active citizenship, community service, sports, and academic excellence & smart learning.
The number of awards in the individual category is 25. Award carries a Medal, Certificate & award money of Rs. 50,000/-.
