Manipuri Diaspora felicitates Victor Liklai Sana

SILCHAR, May 25: Manipuri Diaspora Assam, an apex Manipuri organization yesterday felicitated Victor Liklai Sana who stood third in the Science stream of HSSLC examinations, 2013 conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. The members of central committee of Manipuri Diaspora went to the house of Victor Liklai Sana, the son of Gopal Sana Rajkumar and Anindita Singha on Friday to felicitate him with a citation, flower bouquet and sweets along with an uttario. KN Gopal Sana Rajkumar is the assistant executive engineer of Irrigation department in Hailakandi. The president of the organization, L Tezomani Singha read out the citation and handed over to Victor whom he addressed as the 'pride of Manipuri Community'. Dr M Santi Kumar Singha, general secretary, honoured Victor with an uttario and M Manglembo Singha handed over the flower bouquet to him. The members of the Diaspora congratulated Victor for his remarkable results. They also wished him a bright and prosperous career ahead in life. It is pertinent to mention here that Victor Liklai Sana of Ramanuj Gupta secured third position scoring 472 and bagging letter marks in five subjects. He scored 96 in Physics, 95 in Mathematics, 91 in English, 99 in Chemistry and 91 in Alternative English. Victor Sana in the felicitation programme expressed his desire to join IIT and to try for the Union Public Science Commission Examination. He further said that, he has been inspired by the teachings of the great leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, whom he admires most. He wants to work for the larger interest of the society in general. He at the same time added that he is desperate to work for the betterment of the Manipuri Community, a linguistic minority in Assam. "If I achieve something in my life, I would like to help the students who are financially weak", he added. Manipuri Diaspora Assam opined that Victor Liklai Sana will bring more rewards in future and shine too. The footstep of Victor Liklai Sana will open the door of many Manipuri students for a bright career.
