SILCHAR, Nov 17: The college students under Assam University today imposed a blockade at Premtola point this afternoon, demanding thepostponement of the semester examinations ofdegree courses. The blockade was later withdrawn after the intervention of the district administration. Hundreds of students of Guru Charan College, Cachar College, Women's College and Radhamadhab College of the town, said that their syllabus had not yet been completed. Moreover, the re-evaluation results havealso not been declared.
"Our re-evaluation results have yet not been declared by the varsity. The students who had back and sent their papers for re-evaluations are not sure whether theypassed," said an agitated student.
According to the schedule,the semester examinations are supposed to be held from November 23 next. (SentinelAssam)
