IMPHAL, Apr 20 : To encourage the people to preserve culture, promote education, spread love and togetherness in the State, Four Hopes under the aegis of MMC will organise Miss Manipur contest at BOAT on May 20.
On the finer details of the beauty pageant, Four Hopes General Secretary Maj Karan Nameirakpam in a press conference said that the title winner will be richer by Rs 1,11,111.
He added, Rs 70, 000, Rs 50, 000 and Rs 10, 000 each will be given to the first runner up, second runner up andsubtile winners of the contest respectively, which will be organised under the theme, 'beauty with compassion and a mission'.
There will also be a designer round for the young designers who are keen to preserve and promote the rich culture and tradition of the State,he added.
The contest is open to State damsels who are at the age group of 16 to 25 years, Maj Karan said and added that the girls who are residing outside theState can also vie for the coveted contest. The event will witness five rounds as - contest introduction, casual, traditional, questionnare and final round. The forms for the contest will be available at Four Hopes office at Keishampat junction from April 21 between 11 am and 4 pm. The last date of form submission is April 27, while screening will be held at 9 am at Hotel Imphal on April 30. (Source-SangaiExpress)
