SILCHAR, Sept 1: Assam University (AU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Tapodhir Bhattacharjee would leave for London on Thursday to attend a five-day seminar on higher education to be started from September 6. The seminar, organized jointly by both Indian and British Governments, would be a platform for exchange of opinion, policy on education in the modern context. The Indian delegates would be represented by 15 eminent educationists including four Vice Chancellors from Central Universities. Prof Bhattacharjee is the lone representative from the Northeast. AU sources said, Prof Bhattacharjee would present a documentary on the development and aspiration of the Assam University. (The Sentinel)
