SILCHAR, Aug 24: The UGC-sponsored certificate course in functional English was today formally inaugurated in the college by Pailapool College Principal Gour babu Singh. Selection grade lecturer of the English Department Y Rasbehari Singh is the course convener.
Sources said the UGC has already sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for the course. TDC first year students of the college are eligible for the course. As many as 40 students have already taken admission in the course. Resource persons from other colleges and universities are also expected to take part in this academic mission of the college, sources further said. (Source - Sentinel Assam)
